Opened in May 2010, the Hancock Visitor’s Center is a partnership between the Hancock Historical Society and the Town of Hancock.  It is situated on the site of the former Barton House which served as an inn during the heyday of the Bank Road.

The center displays the wildlife and geological collections which were once part of the Sideling Hill Exhibit Center.  Also on exhibit is a beautiful display of the once prominent Hancock orchard industry and a timeline of town history.

The center is staffed entirely by volunteers with the goal of being open daily.  There is a nice gift shop with items for sale.  All proceeds benefit the Hancock Historical Society.
